Goals and Challenges
Goals
· Technological modernization
· Unification of equipment
· Increased security
· Centralization of administrative management of the communication infrastructure
The main challenges faced by the project were:
- Each restaurant location to be closely connected to central systems – POS terminals, orders, deliveries, reporting, etc. Without a stable and secure network, daily work is slowed down or interrupted.
- The project to allow for central management and automated maintenance – which would drastically reduce the workload of the IT team and the need for physical intervention on site.
- To reduce the time for troubleshooting: from hours/days to minutes, thanks to live monitoring and notifications.
Current Issues
· Aging equipment
· Local management of multiple communication devices
· Different device models accumulated over the years.
Solution
With the help of Cisco Meraki, Paraflow experts implemented a complete transformation of the WAN and WiFi infrastructure:
· Meraki MX was installed in each facility - a device that provides intelligent SD-WAN, automatic failover and an encrypted VPN connection to the headquarters.
· Meraki MR access points were implemented in the restaurants, providing reliable and fast WiFi for business and customer use.
· All devices are unified in the Meraki Dashboard, which provides centralized management, monitoring and security from one place.

Solutions
Cost and risk reduction
Lower costs for maintenance, travel, equipment and external specialists.
Reduced risk of data loss, downtime and reputational damage.
Greater predictability and control over IT infrastructure, even when scaling.
End-to-end connectivity and reliability
All restaurants are now connected via a secure VPN, with automatic selection of the best WAN connection.
Outages and the need for emergency on-site intervention have decreased by over 90%.
Excellent WiFi experience for customers and employees:
· High-density and high-range WiFi has been implemented, divided into segments for employees and guests.
· There is the ability to collect marketing data and heatmap traffic analysis.
Centralized management and security
· The IT team manages all sites from a single dashboard, with the ability to configure, report and respond in real time.
· Built-in access policies, traffic prioritization, and threat protection – without the need for a separate firewall at each location.
Prepare for growth
· New restaurants can be added to the network in under 30 minutes, thanks to automated templates and zero-touch provisioning.
· There is now full visibility into customer behavior and the use of digital services in restaurants.
Cisco Meraki's centralization and scalability provide a solid foundation for integration with mobile apps, online ordering, digital signage and displays, video surveillance, and customer flow analytics.
The implementation of the project with Cisco Meraki brought technological stability, security and operational efficiency. The client not only solved its current network challenges, but also created a platform for digital transformation and marketing innovation in the quick service sector.
